Pantano Animal Clinic

Jamie, CVT

My compassion for animals and love for medicine is what directed me to a career in veterinary medicine. That, and the stories my father would tell me of my great-grandfather who was a large animal veterinarian in Dayton, Ohio.

When I was in high school in 1998. I joined the professional internship program. It was through that program that I began volunteering at Pantano Animal Clinic. After a few months of volunteering they hired me onto the staff. Through the guidance of the Doctors and staff, I have been able to grow and mature within the field. After 3 + years at Pantano, I took a leave to experience beach life in Indialantic, Florida. After only a year in a half, I never knew how much I could miss the desert sunsets, and so I returned to Tucson. Not only had I missed my immediate family, I missed the family and the relationships I had developed at Pantano. So, in February of 2003 I started back at Pantano. It has been wonderful to be back and to see many of the same clients and patients walk through the doors.

When I'm not at the clinic I am enjoying the company of my other half, Mike and our two Golden Retirever mixes, Mandy and Toby, who are of course very spoiled!
